In Which We let Others do Our Thinking for Us

(because, honestly, we aren’t going to bother reading or watching The Golden Compass)

Toby Sumpter, an old friend of ours, has a blog. It’s on the sidebar now (“It Used to Wear Plaid Pants“), and we recommend it. Toby knows things.

One of the things he apparently knows is something about this Golden Compass book (and its film counterpart). Now, I’m honestly about as interested in this book and the knot it has caused to develop in certain folks’ knickers as I am in Dumbeldore’s sexual orientation (that is, couldn’t care less), but you, dear reader, might care to peruse Mr. Sumpter’s comments and the resources he links to, especially if you are a disgruntled Christian.

There, hope that helps.

  1. alright, now i may have to see it (though i don’t think i can bring myself to spend the theater money). I blame Josh’s Review, which stirred up something resembling interest in me.
